Burbank Body Shop was founded in 1953 as a part of Burbank Dodge, one of the dealerships on then bustling dealer row of San Fernando Boulevard.
The property and dealership was owned by a local businessman Joe Phillips, whose son Hal, still owns the land. In the early sixties, dealership management decided to concentrate on sales and mechanical services. That is how Burbank Body Shop became a separate entity. From the beginning most of the work was referred from Burbank Dodge, which required the highest standards of service and repair.
In 1994, Igor Frank took over the family business and instituted major changes reflecting industry trends, such as implementing a computerized estimating system, installing two frame straightening machines for complex frame and unibody repairs and employing a new paint system as well as putting into service a downdraft spray booth for painting.
Our current major customers, Community Chevrolet and Warner Brothers Studios, appreciate and insist on the highest quality of workmanship and customer service that we strive to provide.
